Carol Watson

B.Ag.Sc (hons) MAICD

Carol is an honours graduate in agricultural science from The University of Queensland and grew up in Brisbane in a professional family. She has worked extensively in the agribusiness sector as a livestock production advisor, an animal nutritionist and breed society CEO in New Zealand, New South Wales and Queensland for 17 years before settling at Ruby Hills.


Carol has been recognised at high levels for her work and motivation to rural Australia, and been awarded an Australian Rural Leadership Program scholarship by Australian Wool Innovation on course 14 in 2007 and 2008. She is near completing a Graduate Diploma in Social Science (psychology) at the University of New England to enhance her science training and experience with humanities knowledge.


Carol is a member of Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) and is currently a director of  NEGS Ltd, the New England Girls’ School in Armidale which recently restructured as a corporate entity to ensure its survival and growth into a leading country education facility from K to 12.


Carol is pursuing her interest in families in business relationships in the near future.
